What is WRAP?

What is WRAP?

WRAP Around Care is a ministry that mobilizes people to come alongside foster, adoptive, and kinship families by meeting their tangible, everyday needs. Through practical support such as meals, respite care, encouragement, and prayer, families are reminded they are not alone in their journey. When these families have WRAP Around Care, they receive the consistent community support they need—not just to survive, but to truly thrive.

From dropping off a meal, sending a note of encouragement, or help with carpooling, there are countless ways to bless these families and the unique needs they have.

No Family Should Foster Alone

No Family Should Foster Alone

Foster, adoptive, and kinship care bring significant lifestyle changes for the entire family. Children often enter a home with little notice, requiring families to quickly adjust routines, schedules, and emotional capacity. Many of these children arrive under traumatic circumstances, making the need for stability, patience, and strong community support even more essential.

"50% of foster parents quit every year, and an additional 50% every year after due to a lack of  social and community support"

Not everyone is called to be a foster or adoptive parent, but everyone is called to care!

WRAP Around Care at FSC

Point of Contact:

Begin a personal relationship with a foster, adoptive, or kinship family. Serve as their point of contact when a need or prayer request arrives and communicate that to our WRAP Around Teams.

Meal Team:

Prepare frozen meals during our 2nd Saturday Serve days at Fork Real Café. You can also sign up to cook or deliver individual meals to families.

Special Event Team:

Help watch and play with kids in our church kids’ area while parents attend a foster care specific training in the auditorium. Serve as a host and check families in, show them where they take their children and help set-up dinner. Trainings are held once a quarter on a weekday evening.

Abbott House Care:

Help support the Abbott House foster parents and teens during our 2nd Saturday Serve days. From art projects, teaching a new skill, to help around the house and landscaping. Our heart is to develop long lasting relationships that will support the families.
